I just LOVE the Sabian Symbol for the new Moon this month: "A butterfly with a third wing on its left side. Keynote: The ability to develop, for inner strengthening, new modes of response to basic life situations." While I read Dane Rudhyar's interpretation of it in the Pele Report, I feel it is an excellent way to start this week's newsletter. It
is such a week of paradox with the Sun/Mars/Saturn/Pluto T-Square being so HARD and the Venus opposite Neptune being so SOFT and Mercury opposite Uranus being so CRAZY! For me, the Mercury opposite Uranus makes me want to rebel against the ordinary, and by now boring, regular news.
As far as I'm concerned, we're here for one thing: to learn how to love, how to be loved, and what the bleep love is anyway. If we look back through history with all the wars, famine, destruction, and more, both natural and manmade, love has blossomed, grown, healed, and blessed billions in the worst conditions you can imagine. Let's pretend that now is no different than then. With all hell breaking
loose in the "outside world," it can help remember that is precisely where it is - OUTSIDE. And when it comes to self-knowledge, growth, evolution, expansion, imagination, and creation, it's what's going on INSIDE that really matters. And Venus in Virgo is about bringing order to and cleaning up the heart space within.
Regardless of our politics, theories, or "solutions," much of our joy, contentment, and growth in life has to do with whether we can love and be loved. This year has put us to the test in many, many ways, and as the temperature rises (more than just literally), and we are virtually thrown on top of each other, it has been getting harder to hide, cover, deny, or avoid who we really are, what we really want/need and
continue to stuff our dreams and future goals from those closest to us. The Sun moving through Libra and heading down into Scorpio gives us all the opportunity to get naked, get real, and get vulnerable in order to get intimate. Are we up for the task, or do we want to keep distracting ourselves with the news? Which are not really that new anymore. To each his/her own, those who accept the challenge will emerge from this crisis with more to show than they
went in with.

That's right! We don't have forever! We're not getting any younger (except for a few Gemini/Cancers). Actually, the first mantra that came to me this morning was something more along the lines of "If I don't know myself by now, it may just be too late." LOL! However, that's probably not so nice and not so fair, especially for the younger ones among us (including myself as I
change faster than I can keep up with). But to stay on point with today's report, I want to emphasize that I'm really referring mostly to our intimate partnerships more than political views, beliefs, or jobs.
This month and next can be devoted to sorting out what you want and don't want, what you can give and what you can't give, what you can surrender to, and what you simply cannot give up. These are the types of "decisions" I'm talking about, internal, personal decisions that are just fine to make and clarify with Mercury and Mars both retrograde. Don't worry, they'll be coming out by the end of the year with either breakups or deeper commitments and contracts
(spoken and unspoken), but this is a good time to be having those heart to heart talks and laying it all out on the table with each other.
Ultimately, the truth shall set you free (the Sun going into Sagittarius perhaps/hopefully?), so let it do its work!
