Pura Vida y Feliz Ano Nuevo! Ho Ho Ho! I hope you are gathered together at this special time of year with those you
love, have a history with, and are reminiscing, remembering, feeling, and sharing! It's really not much of a time for anything else! The very idea of "forward motion" needs to be put on hold these days, as not only retrograde Mercury but the fact that it is conjuncting the New Moon in Capricorn, says "Stop! Sit still, sober up, make some resolutions, and organize your life!" Yikes! Not so much Ho Ho Ho in that lol!
While there may be a tendency toward nostalgia (not for 2016 but before then haha!) and taking some sentimental journeys, it can be a beautiful heart-sharing as Capricorn, beneath the gruff exterior, can have some old-fashioned ideas about "family values," "togetherness," and what it means to be a "good 'ol boy" by showing up for your friends and loved ones. This is a good time to sort out and see just who
is there for you, who does show up (despite Mercury Retro!), and who you can count on. These are the folks to go forward with into a new year of turbulence, leaving the "fair weather friends" for just that..... and letting them wait for the fair weather as you/we've got a future world to create!
I just finished part one of a three-part series on the Astrology of 2017: The End
of Illusion & Profound Revelation! After looking at all those aspects, that is how I would sum it up. Some will experience more of one than the other, and my hope is that your experience is one of Profound Revelation! Part Two and Three will be on the way to the NPA Community first and then released
to the general public once I get all three done (whenever that is with this frickin' Mercury retrograde and my computer blowing up..... ugh!).
Besides videos, I'm gearing up for the Relationship workshop I am hosting later in January in Costa Rica. This will be my first more advanced workshop exploring not only natal birthcharts but composite relationship charts! The first of its kind for me! With Jupiter moving through Libra, that is a lot about what 2017 is all about and for sure, as I'm sure you know, it is one the trickiest aspects of being human! How the hell to do relationship? This is a big issue and getting
bigger as we move into the Age of Aquarius, the age of being radically individual!
The older and more objective I get, The more I clearly see, The
world needs some serious attention, More than a party for me.
Oh well, what can I say? I'm sure you're feeling it. Beneath the holiday "jazz" and jingles there is a heaviness, a doubt, a question about the future. We're coming into 2017 which is a year
where we will no longer be able to ignore the BS that has been going on for so long as it will come up and smack us in the face. Indeed, this process of awakening has already begun. Where will it lead and what BS will be revealed next? It is anyone's guess.
But it is enough to make each of us take a pause, a moment, to contemplate just who we are, why we are here, what
that means, and what to do about it. To remain passively powerless or put down the screen and get off our butts and make social change. So that's what this new Moon in Capricorn is about, and it is setting a rather serious tone for the coming month. Don't let it get you down, rather, may you be inspired to creative action leading to a more evolved reality for the future of planet earth! Pura

By now, you’ve probably heard about the Dakota Access Pipeline, or DAPL. Native American tribes and others have been protesting the 1,172-mile pipeline that would carry 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily through multiple states. They note the pipeline will disturb sacred burial sites and pollute the Standing Rock
Sioux Tribe’s drinking water in the Missouri River. Currently there is a mass movement underway with people withdrawing their money from the big banks supporting the Dakota Access Pipeline, including Bank of America, HSBC, UBS, Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank, etc. Check out this page to see how you can join the movement in helping to defeat this action.
