I’m watching that “Bad Moon Rising” out my window, soon to be full, with Mars rising right along with her. Venus is setting after the Sun squaring Jupiter overhead. While it appears to be a beautiful still night, this astrology portends rapidly changing emotional states fueled by some fire that is also being fed by a Venusian thirst for more, better, and best! All the thoughts and feelings swirling around now may get some of us dizzy to the point of feeling overwhelmed.

Jupiter has entered Pisces’s 29th degree (anaretic or last) and will stay there until shifting into Aries on the 20th. This is referred to as a “critical” degree, and I sometimes refer to it as the “last chance degree.” It is the culmination of the whole sign of Pisces’ wishful, dreamy, spiritual, other-worldliness, and Jupiter wants more of it. When you add a square from Venus in Sag it’s time to go wild and crazy before she slows down in Capricorn on Friday.

All in all, this is an explosive full Moon where it will behoove us all to take a few deep breaths, consider, and reconsider before blurting out chaotic, unprocessed feelings that may confuse us and others more than clarify anything. It’s a good few days to go howl at the Moon and let Her take them up for you. Venus/Jupiter just can’t get enough love and signify cravings and indulgence. Try to find the balance between suppressing yourself and going overboard, as either polarity will add to a sense of dissatisfaction.

Things will settle down as Mercury and Venus move through Capricorn and the Moon heads into Cancer, both more “tame” than a Gemini/Mars. We’ll be able to buckle down, buckle in and get it done through the weekend and into next week as we feel more ground beneath our feet. We still have a few weeks of Mars retrograde, which reflects a time of more inward focus and concentration. So write those papers, prepare that website, and clean up old relationships, work, and friendship issues.
