Don’t be a crabby crab. But, wait a minute, maybe you do need to be a crabby crab and dump some of those heavy, dark emotional frustrations that have been weighing you down and you’ve been afraid of showing for way too long! So, another song for this
week might be the Allman Brothers’ “Sweet Mama, Lay Your Burdens Down.”
Let’s face it, most societies these days have had the spoken or unspoken rule, “If you’re gonna cry, go to your room.” Since childhood, most of us have been taught to hold back, push down, and deny or reject emotional needs that others either don’t want to or are unable to meet.
Well, now, during this final quarter phase of the Moon’s Cancer cycle, it’s time to let it all out. And don’t be surprised if there is more of it in there than you expected to find. Don’t be surprised if the Pluto opposition from Capricorn and the Mars square from Taurus to Mercury in Leo doesn’t make you want to roar. Maybe see it as what I like to call “a spiritual setup.” When others push our buttons, i.e., piss us off, it’s a red flag that
we’ve got shadow work to do! And that’s what oppositions are all about… we project our shadow (unresolved negative emotions) and then get triggered when others “get away with it.”
What we want to do this week is get on the upward spiral! This starts with lowering the bar for ourselves, accepting that we have some shitty emotions, and embracing ourselves as we are. This process enables us to express, release, and communicate (maybe by screaming, lol!) our deepest emotional needs that justifiably want to be met and fulfilled. This leads to discovering the deeper causes and sources of our discomfort, longing, emptiness, and
wounds. Only when the wounds are identified and accepted can they be healed. This healing process leads to greater self-acceptance (along with greater self-knowledge, which equals evolution!) which brings us back to the beginning, only at a higher level, to do more of the same! You got this!

When I find and express myself,

So, the Moon is in her final waning phase of this month’s lunar cycle that began with the new Moon in Cancer. The third quarter square occurring today (Wednesday) can be seen as the proper time to break free from social conventions and move toward a liberated
state of emotional awareness.
This process is aided by her first joining Mars, then Uranus, and the Moon’s north node in Taurus, the sign of self-sufficiency. The inner sacred marriage work requires that we first embrace and unconditionally accept ourselves as we are before seeking love and completion externally through relationship.
The Venus Lilith connection walking together through Cancer will be joined by the Moon herself early next week. Cancer seeks emotional self-security, so we can see an emphasis here and now placed upon us to become our own mother, father, and lover. Lilith represents the deepest truth within us regarding our lunar, soul nature that has been suppressed and thereby distorted. This results in shadow projections and anger, which is hard
to integrate into our total sense of self.
The key that Lilith offers us calls us to recognize and integrate these fragmented parts of ourselves without guilt, blame, and shame. Realizing that these negative emotions result from not truly holding and accepting ourselves, we can push through our fears and resistance to break free and own our most primal, instinctive needs and desires, thereby releasing the anger and pent-up emotions to dissolve the irritation resulting from
suppression.
