And what a week/month this is! There is a slight similarity between this month and August of 1999 for those of
you that can remember. At that time, the Moon’s nodes were in Leo/Aquarius, with Uranus on the south node squaring Saturn in Taurus. The tables have turned (Uranus and Saturn are square now, but it is the other way around) but you may recognize some of the same themes around the need to freely express yourself as a unique individual without blowing up, or needing to blow up, your relationships to do it. One way or the other, Leo, the ruler of the heart, is involved, so
try to be as gentle as you can with yourself and others.
And no sooner do we get our hearts awakened than the energy shifts to engaging the mind and the will. This weekend and into the next, there will be a definite speeding up, felt as lightening up by some, as the energy goes more Mercurial. The need will arise to communicate, discuss, shape, reshape, listen, and learn through
discourse with others, in addition to listening within to our own hearts. We’re being called to build a new society of sovereign individuals, centered within themselves yet loving, willing, and able to participate and serve the greater whole.
So not only is this an initiation into selfhood but then “enlightened partnership” AND “awakened community!” No wonder you’re feeling some
pressure. These are tall tasks! It’s easy to be self-sufficient and centered in a cave by yourself, but that’s not the situation here and now. To love and be loved, served and be served, without losing your center, your truth, and your integrity demands honest self-evaluation and transparent, clear communication. So get ready for seven months of Mars in Gemini, as you will have plenty of time to practice!
I’m on my way to Copenhagen right now and looking forward to meeting more brave souls taking up the work of conscious soul evolution, with the help of astrology, of course! From Denmark, I’ll be visiting the Netherlands and the UK. I am continually amazed and heartened by the number, quality, strength, and depth of the people I’m fortunate enough to interact with on this path of love. Exposing my truth and my lies. This week is an interesting mix of sweetness (Venus trine Jupiter) and possible illusions/delusions as Mercury opposes Neptune. It's a good time to watch ourselves (and others) as we tell ourselves stories that may or may not be "actual reality.) There is sometimes a fine line between imagination and deception, and we're walking it this week. So keep those
eyes and ears wide open!
Hopefully, you have been taking joy, building confidence in your creative genius, and shining like the Sun this last month of Leo time. The more we have, the more we can give, and the bigger the heart, the more generous, loving, and tolerant we become. When criticism, challenges, fault-finding, or condemnation come along, it is helpful to
have a large reservoir of self-love to avoid being taken completely down.
Mars entering Gemini will bring a slew of new contacts, relationships, and opportunities. Take this time to clear your relationship space of old, outworn, ill-fitted connections to make
room for the new! As one door closes, another will open, but just as in walking, you need to pick up your back foot, let go of the past support, and swing it forward to take that next step. Blessings on your journey!
